Joyce Harmon

Joyce Harmon, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on August 26, 1945, in Carroll County, Kentucky, 

A graduate of life's many lessons, Joyce spent her career in environmental services, making significant contributions at Jefferson Community Technical College in Carrollton and Bell South. Her commitment to her work was mirrored in her passion for her home, where she enjoyed housekeeping, yardwork, crafting, and sewing. Joyce's hands were always busy, whether transforming materials into beloved creations or nurturing her yard into a beautiful space.

Joyce was a former member of Ghent Baptist Church, 

Joyce leaves behind her three loving children, Becky Meadows Wilson (Larry) of Carrollton, KY, Shelley Burgess Moore of Ghent, KY, and William Woodrow Harmon (Jeanette) of Winchester, KY. The legacy of her love continues with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will surely carry forth her warmth and remembrance. Joyce is also survived by her brother, Bill Burgess of Ghent, KY.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, T.C. Burgess and Della Tyree Burgess, her caring husband, William Harmon, and two sons, Malcom Shane Harmon and Larry Stephen Meadows, Jr. Each of these losses left an indelible mark on her heart, yet those who knew her can attest to her strength and resilience in the face of sorrow.

All services were private with her family honoring her life.
