Justin Matthew Hearn, 22, of Worthville, KY., was found dead on Sunday, February 26, 2012 near Vevay, Switzerland County, IN. He had been missing since December 13, 2010 near Warsaw, KY., where he was involved in a boating accident.
He was born on January 6, 1990 in Fort Thomas, Campbell County, KY., the son of David Matthew and Denise Ketterer Hearn of Worthville, KY. He was a Diesel Mechanic for Kemper Brothers Trucking in Ghent, KY. He had a passion for working on diesel engines. He also enjoyed attending truck and tractor pulls.
He was a member of the Dean Memorial Methodist Church in Worthville, KY.
He was a 2009 graduate of Carroll County High School. He was in the process of joining the United States Marines at the time of his death. He had served as a junior fire fighter with the Worthville, KY., Fire Department. In his spare time he loved hunting and spending time outdoors.
He is dearly missed by his parents, his sister, Amanda Jo Hearn of Worthville, KY., his maternal grandparents, Donnie, SR., and Mary Ketterer of Ghent, KY., his paternal grandmother, Nettie Hearn of Worthville, KY., along with several aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David "Hacksaw" Hearn.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton with the Rev. Pat Butcher, Rev. Dan Brennen and Rev. Greg Smith officiating the service. No vistation is planned prior to the service time, a gathering of family and friends will be held after the burial at the National Guard and Armory Center on Highway 227 in Carrollton.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
No visitation is planned.
