J.W. "Pickle" Eaves, 75, of Carrollton, KY., died on Monday morning, June 18, 2012 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born May 20, 1937 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY., the son of the late James Carlisle Eaves and Melvlena Meadows Eaves-Hambrick. He was retired from the Heating and Cooling Industry having ran his own business. He was a craftsman making many hand crafted knives throughout his lifetime. He loved his family and friends dearly and he enjoyed fishing and cooking for them. He was member of the Carrollton Christian Church. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1958-1962. He will be missed by his wife, Jenel Lewis Eaves of Carrollton, his son, Aaron Nicholas "Nick" Eaves (Stephanie), two daughters, Cynthia Ann Eaves of Madison, IN., and Tracy Yvonne Yocum (Clay) of Carrollton, KY., five sisters, Margie Belle of Smithfield, KY., Phyllis Leach of Bedford, KY., Janie Wheeler of Milton, KY., Linda Davis of Madison, IN., and Gretchen Eaves of Florida, three brothers, Louis Eaves of Tampa, FL., David Eaves of Centerville, OH., and Elden Hambrick of Vevay, IN., eight grandchildren, Megan (Kyle) Spencer, Brittany Yocum, Mark (Katie) Little, Andy Little, Keith Martin, Chris Martin, Mercedes Martin and Zoey Eaves, two great grandchildren, Gracie Thompson and Aiden Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patsy Marsh, two brothers, Douglas and Jimmy Eaves. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Coleman officiating the service.. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to J.W. "Pickle" Eaves family in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
