Katie West

Katie Melvina West, 54, of Madison, IN,  died on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

She was born on August 15, 1963 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Charles Douglas West, Sr. and Daisy Katherine (Hicks) West of Carrollton, KY.  She was a 1981 graduate of Carroll County High School.  She was currently worked as a Customer Service Associate at Petsense in Madison.  She had previously worked as a Licensed Hair Beautician for 15 years.  She had attended and graduated in 2007, with a degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati, OH.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her two son’s, Derrick Allen Pollitt and Nicholas Ryan Pollitt, both of Melbourne, KY, her mother, Daisy Katherine West of Carrollton, KY, her companion, Mike Westrick of Madison, IN, two step-sons, William Drew Pollitt of Southgate, KY, and Timothy James Pollitt of Melbourne, KY, two sisters, Gloria (Chris) Wrenn of Fort Myers, FL, and Anita (Dion) Maiden of Carrollton, KY, and a brother, Charles Douglas West, Jr. of Carrollton, KY.

She was preceded in death by her father on May 28, 2005.
