In Loving Memory of Kelsey Ellis Brightwell
Kelsey Ellis Brightwell, a dedicated individual who devoted his life to the masonry, construction, and roofing industry, has peacefully passed away in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. Born in Ghent, Carroll County, Kentucky on August 26th, 1940, Kelsey was a man of many talents and passions. Aside from his professional endeavors, Kelsey found joy in gardening, fishing, and hunting throughout his years.
Kelsey Brightwell is survived by his loving brothers, Melvin Brightwell of Columbus, Indiana, and Phillip Brightwell of Ghent, Kentucky. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Teresa Holman and Lorita Pendleton Reed of Louisville, Kentucky. Kelsey leaves behind eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory eternally. Additionally, he is mourned by several nieces and nephews.
In his journey beyond this life, Kelsey Brightwell reunites with his beloved parents, Ellis Brightwell and Flossie Mae (Kelsey) Brightwell. He is also welcomed into the eternal embrace by his wife Peggy Grundy Brightwell. Among those awaiting him are his brother Leroy Brightwell and two stepsons Glen Pendleton and Boris Pendleton alongside one grandson.
A Graveside Service to honor and remember the exceptional life of Kelsey Brightwell will take place on Thursday, April 4th at the Second Baptist Cemetery in Ghent, Kentucky. The service will commence at 2:00 PM while family and friends gather to pay their final respects.
