Kenneth “Kenny” Cole, 70, of Carrollton, KY, died on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
He was born on November 28, 1947 in Richmond, Madison County, KY, the son of the late Buck Cole and Cordia Hendricks Cole of Frankfort, KY. He was a graduate of Madison Central High School in Richmond, KY. He worked as a Machinist in a Machine Shop that he ran from his home for many years, working with all types of engine repairs. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served his Country faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton. He had coached the American Legion Baseball Team, Carroll County Little League Baseball and Basketball and he was involved with the Carroll County Yellow Jackets Football Program for many years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He will be missed by his wife, Beverly Southworth Cole of Carrollton, KY, his mother, Cordia Hendricks Cole of Frankfort, KY, four sons, Justin Smith of Cincinnati, OH, Jeremy Cole of Carrollton, KY, Zachary Cole of Carrollton, KY, and Derek Cole of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Jean Burgin of Frankfort, KY, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Terry Cole.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
