Kenneth Wood

Kenneth C. Wood, 77, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday evening, October 16, 2008 at New Horizons Assisted Living Center in Carrollton.
He was born on March 26, 1931 in Falmouth, Pendleton County, KY., the son of the late William Alexander Wood and Ella Florence (Bell) Wood. He was a retired Arson Investigator for the Kentucky State Police. He served the community for over 40 years with various law enforcement agencies. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict having obtained the rank of Corporal. He was a member of the Carrollton Christian Church and the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton. Ken enjoyed Golfing and Fishing.
He will be missed by his daughter; Leigh Ann Grant of Petersburg, KY., and a son; Kevin Wayne Wood of Fort Thomas, KY., two brothers; Randall Wood of Fort Thomas, KY., and Phillip Wood of Falmouth, KY., along with five grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Jan Wood, five sisters and two brothers.
Dr. Bob Brocious conducted funeral services on Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
