Kevin L. Downs, Sr.

Kevin L. Downs, Sr., age 60, of Carrollton, KY, passed away on June 22, 2024, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was born on April 12, 1964, in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana. Kevin spent his life cherishing his family and embracing his hobbies with a passion until his health unfortunately declined.

Kevin found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life such as spending time with his children, cooking out on the grill, and most importantly, caring for his beloved animals.

Kevin was a loving husband to Carrie Mae McCormick Downs of Carrollton, KY, and a devoted father to his four sons: Kevin (Sarah Marcum) Downs, Jr., John Downs, James Downs, and Nathan Downs all of Carrollton, KY. His presence will be deeply missed by each of them. He is also survived by three brothers: Bill Downs of San Diego, CA; Kent Downs and Terry Downs of Logansport, IN. He is also survived by two sisters: Joy Hamilton and Linda Downs both of Logansport, IN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Downs and Wilma Jean Moss Downs, as well as a brother, Jay Downs. 

A Celebration of his life service will be planned at a later date by his family.

Kevin L. Downs, Sr.'s legacy lives on through the memories shared with those who knew him best. He touched the hearts of many with his kindness and warmth. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
