Larry Smith

Ed was born near Pikeville in Pike County KY to Willard M. and Quacie Charles Smith. He retired in 2002 after 31 years as a Facility Technician/Cable Repairman for Bell South. He was also a member of St. John Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Rae Haacke Smith, a son, Keith Alan (Carol)Smith of Vevay, IN, his mother, Quacie Charles Smith of Raccoon, KY, 4 sisters Vivian Gaye Kline and Judy Faye Smith of Raccoon, KY, Fannie May Hogue of Florence, AL and Beverly Holloway of Meta, KY, 5 brothers, Pete and Bill Smith of Raccoon, KY, Tom Smith of Betsy Layne, KY, Tony Smith of Gallatin, TN and Dean Ray Smith of Pikeville, KY and 3 step-grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Willard M. Smith, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Philip Bromwell, Dale Robinson, Mike Cutshaw, Ray Miller, Bill Mefford and Don Waugh. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Taylor and J.K. Riley.

Concelebrating the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Gerald Reinersman and Rev. Michael D. Barth.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Carroll County Hospital in care of the funeral home.
