LaVerne Tilley

LaVerne Hunter Tilley, 87, of Carrollton, KY, died on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on October 30, 1934, in Henry County, KY, the daughter of the late Roy Webb Hunter and Edith Frances Bassett.  LaVerne was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

Survivors include her three daughters, Lynette Tilley of Madison, IN, Marketta (Chris) Brock of Carrollton, KY, and Michelle (Pat) Stewart of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Joan Leep of Vevay, IN, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John P. Tilley on March 14, 2022, her son, John Scott Tilley, and two sisters, Carolyn Brindley and Dorothy Bowman.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
