Lawrence G. Rabourn

Lawrence G. "Buck" Rabourn, 82, died on Sunday evening, May 17, 2009 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on November 13, 1926 in Henry County, KY., the son of the late Marvin B. and Alice Cathern Craigmyle Rabourn. He was a retired farmer, he was also a retired Tobacco Warehouseman having worked for 36 years at Marshall & Harris Tobacco Warehouses & Grower's Warehouse in Carrollton, he was former floor manager for 8th St. Tobacco Warehouse in Carrollton. He served his country in the United States Army.

He married Marjorie L. Myers on March 31, 1951. Other survivors include two daughters; Joyce Walker of Turners Station, KY., and Judy (Steve) Maiden of Turners Station, KY., three sons; Bobby (Sue) Rabourn of Campbellsburg, KY., Larry (April) Rabourn of Turners Station, KY., and Gary Rabourn of Turners Station, KY., two sisters; Gladys Schaeffer of Glencoe, KY., and Grace May of Napoleon, OH., two brothers; J.R. Rabourn of Bedford, KY., and David Rabourn of Turners Station, KY., fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Thelma Myers & Jewell Kidwell.

Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Cotto officiating.

Memorial gifts were given to the English Christian Church.

5:00 - 8:00 P.M. - Thursday - May 21, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

2:00 P.M. - Friday - May 22, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-RIley Funeral Home.

Interment

Vance Cemetery - Turners Station, KY.
