Lena Edwards

Lena Mae Taylor Edwards, 93, of Milton, KY, died on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Signature Health of Carrollton.

She was born on February 20, 1923 in Carroll County, KY, to the late Verni Henry Taylor and Mary Alice Jones Taylor. She was retired from the Carroll County Middle School as a Cafeteria Cook.

She was a member of the Union Grove Church. In her spare time she was a homemaker and farmer and enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, cooking, quilting, her grandchildren and church activities.

She will be missed by a son, Gary Edwards and wife, Vickie of Milton, KY; three daughters, Lois Faye Edwards and her companion, Danny Marsh of Bedford, KY; Linda Carol Johnson and husband, Richard of Bedford, KY; Vivian Kay Ebley and husband, Justin of Milton, KY; two sisters, Lola Vories of Campbellsburg, KY; and Dorothy Williams of Morristown, TN; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great - great grandchild also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Grant "Bo" Edwards on October 8, 1982, four brothers, Lloyd "Tut" Taylor, Roy Gene Taylor, Clifford Taylor and J.W. Taylor, three sisters, Florence Schafer, Mary Lee Thomas and Alma Welch.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Union Grove Church in care of the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Visitation

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Funeral

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Bruce officiating the service.

Interment

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
