Leo Tucker| Sr.

March 23, 1937 — December 28, 2010

Leo Edmond Tucker, Sr., of Carrollton, KY., died on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at his residence in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on March 23, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH., the son of the late John E. and Rebecce Akines Tucker. Mr. Tucker was retired from the Nashville Tennessee Police Department. He was also a retired Military Police Officer for the U.S. Army and he served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Mt.Byrd Christian Church in Milton, KY., and also a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his daughters; Tammy Tucker of Evansville, IN., and Sherry Tucker Lambert of Dover, TN., sons; Tony Stroud of Elberfeld, IN., Leon Stroud of Wink, TX., and Richard Tucker of Symrna, TN., sisters; Clara Gividen of Bedford, KY., Pat Kitchens of Hattisburg, MS., and Frances Patterson of New Castle, KY., one brother; Joseph Tucker of LaGrange, KY., eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Leo E. Tucker, Jr., sisters; Mary Abbott, Margaret Tucker, Sarah Tucker and Alberta Carson, brothers; Everett and Johnny Tucker.

Graveside Services will be on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton with the Rev. Michael Huff officiating the service. There is no visitation planned. Military Honors will be presented by the Carrollton American Legion Post #41 and the Ft. Knox U.S. Army Military Detail.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
