Leona Kinman

Leona Mae Frances Kinman, 86, of Carrollton, KY, died on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Green Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.

She was born on June 30, 1927 in Trimble County, KY, the daughter of the late Luther Shelton and Daisy Mae Bell Shelton. She was retired from Reliance Electric in Madison, IN, as a factory worker. She was a foster mother to many children over the years. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Carrollton.

She is survived by four daughters, Millie Proctor of Carrollton, KY, Linda Robbins of Carrollton, KY, Joyce Backus of Canaan, IN, and Sherry O'Neal of Madison, IN, a son, Danny Kinman of Carrollton, KY, twenty grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, three step - grandchildren, one step - great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles William Kinman, a daughter, Janie Smith, four sons, Ronnie, Gary Ray, Jerry Lee and Herbert "Herb" Kinman, a brother, Marshall Shelton, a sister, Sarah Elizabeth Shelton, three grandchildren, Jeffrey Kinman, Debbie Carrico and Tammy Stephan.

Funeral Services were on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Jerry Ison officiating the service at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation was on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Visitation

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Jerry Ison officiating the service at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
