Linda Sue Phillips

Linda Sue Phillips, born on November 22, 1945, in Carrollton, Kentucky, departed this life on January 2, 2025, in Warsaw, Kentucky. A mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

Throughout her productive career, Linda dedicated many years as a custodian for Carroll County Schools, exemplifying her strong work ethic and commitment to service. Outside of her professional life, she held a deep passion for her church community at the Relevant Church, where she found joy in making baskets and practicing sign language to assist others. Additionally, Linda enjoyed sewing, a craft that allowed her to express her creativity and care.

Linda's family includes her loving sons, Danny (Gina) Phillips of Ghent, KY, Steve (Jayne) Phillips of Madison, IN, Martin (Heather) Phillips of Zebulon, NC, David (Vickie) Phillips of Russellville, KY, and Timmy Phillips of Salem, IN. Her legacy continues through her several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of her compassion and guidance.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Norvin "Pete" Martin and Ida Mae Wiley Martin; her beloved husband, Robert Phillips; her sisters, Mamie Wallace and Pamilla McKinney; and her brother, Norvin David Martin. Furthermore, she was preceded in death by her son Timmy's companion, Brooke Naugle.

Linda Sue Phillips will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. A graveside service will be held in her honor on Saturday. January 4, 2025, at Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky, starting at 11:00 AM, where family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life and legacy.  No visitation is planned at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given the Gallatin Health Care Center activity fund in her honor in the care of the funeral home.
