Lonnie B."Little Man" Jones III, 12, of Ghent, KY., died Thursday in Ghent, due to injuries received in a ATV accident near his home.
He was born in Shelbyville, KY., the son of Lonnie Jones, Jr. of Shelbyville, KY., and Jacquoline Denise (Perry) Snow of Ghent, KY. "Little Man" is what everyone called him, was a seventh grader at Carroll County Middle School. He loved football and basketball, playing football for the Carroll County Panthers and basketball for Carroll County Parks and Recreation teams. He was a member of Ghent Baptist Church. His mother, step father & brothers, and the rest of his family and friends will miss him, he was a loving and special son, brother and friend.
He will be dearly missed by his loving family, mother and step father; Jacquoline Denise(Perry)and Stanley Steven Snow of Ghent, KY., his father; Lonnie Jones, Jr. of Shelbyville, KY., brothers; Kerrie Benjamin Jones and James Dylan Bayes of Ghent, KY., half brother; Gregory Steven Sullivan of Carrollton, KY., step brothers; Stanley Steven Snow, II of Covington, KY., and Jessie Lee Snow of Carrollton, KY., step sister; Sijean Spring Snow of Carrollton, KY., several aunts and uncles on both sides of the family also survive.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Joe and Florence Perry, paternal grandparents; Lonnie and Rosie Jones.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the family in care of the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, KY 41008.
The Rev. Pat Butcher will officiate the funeral service on Tuesday at the church.
