Loretta Ophelia Koerber, 89, of Warsaw, KY, born on March 2, 1935, in Fobb, Marshall County, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away in Warsaw, Gallatin County, Kentucky on Monday July 8, 2024.
Throughout her life, Loretta dedicated herself to her work at Farm Bureau Insurance Company for several years. In addition to her endeavors, she selflessly assisted her husband with Koerber Distributing Company. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Her commitment to both her career and family defined her generous and compassionate spirit. She and her late husband, were members of the Church of Christ in Verona, KY, for many years.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Pearl Clara Wallace Young, her sister, Sharon Henry, as well as her beloved husband Shirley Koerber who died on May 11, 2024. She is survived by a loving family including a daughter, Dianne Stockdale (Bobbo Wilson) of Carrollton, KY; a son, Monty Koerber of Warsaw, KY; a daughter-in-law, Stella Koerber of Florence, KY; and a sister, Peggy (Bruce) Page of Madill, OK.
She will be dearly missed by her six grandchildren: Chad Koerber of Wisconsin; Jenna (Chris) Burns of Crestwood, KY; Tiffany (Brent) Danner of Union, KY; Natalie Pope (Dave Gonzalez) of Fairfield, CA; Natasha (James) Robinson of Georgetown, KY: and Jessica (Tyler) Lawson of Lexington, KY. Loretta's legacy lives on through her thirteen great-grandchildren: Kaydence Koerber and Shylyn Koerber of Hebron, KY; Michael Burns of Crestwood, KY:, Jonathan Burns of Crestwood, KY: and Quentin Burns of Crestwood KY; Adaline Pope of Fairfield, CA: and Brynlee Pope of Fairfield CA; Braylen Danner of Union, KY: and Brodie Danner of Union KY; Hadley Lawson and Conor Lawson of Lexington KY; Chela Gonzalez of Fairfield, CA: and Kylie Danner of Union, KY.
Services to honor and remember Loretta's life will take place at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home located at 809 Highland Ave in Carrollton, Kentucky. The visitation will be held on Friday, July 12th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will then be conducted at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown at 12:00 PM. on Friday, July 12, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
