Louise Stockdale Fitzpatrick was a retired clerk for Webster's Drugs and previously a receptionist for The Dr. L E Oliver Medical Clinic in Carrollton, has passed away at the age of 90. Louise was born on June 25, 1934 in Carrollton, Kentucky and departed this life on September 28, 2024.
Louise dedicated her younger life to working and raising two sons through their school years and enjoyed watching them play sports. She met her soulmate Jim in 1975 and they enjoyed traveling to watch her son Mark and his sons, Scott & Mark play basketball during their high school years.
Louise and Jim married in 1978. Louise was happiest when she and Jim were together and the love and respect they showed for each other over the years was a constant source of inspiration to everyone that knew them. They enjoyed traveling and were avid horse race fans where they attended many racing events with their close friends, Mike & Diane Gordon and Sonny & Sue Westrick. They also enjoyed spending time with their grandson Tyler during his young years. Louise also dedicated herself to care for her mother Mary during her elderly years.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jim Fitzpatrick who left the world on August 10, 2015. She also joins her parents Stanley F. Stockdale Sr. and Mary Cotton Stockdale in eternal rest. Furthermore, she reunites with her sisters Mary Francis Schaum, Emma Jean Cossairt, Margaret Inderhees, Della Jennings, and infant sister, Virginia Stockdale and brothers Stanley F. Stockdale, Jr., Lawrence Stockdale and Delmar Stockdale.
She is survived by her sons, Michael L. (Shannon) Sparks of Carrollton, KY, and Mark R. (Denise) Sparks of Richmond, KY, stepsons, Scott Fitzpatrick of Louisville, KY, and Mark Fitzpatrick of Madison, IN, and stepdaughter, Jennifer L. (Adrian) Fretland of Boston, MA. Additionally she is survived by her granddaughter Kelsey A. (David) Richards of Louisville, KY and grandsons Tyler D. (Katie) Sparks of Augusta, KY, Garrett L. (Gracie) Smith of Nashville, TN, Gordon M. (Quinn)Smith of Winchester KY, and her great grandchildren, a total of seven to carry on her legacy.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery in Madison, IN.
