Lula Mae Polley Cain, 93, died on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
She was born on October 10, 1911, the daughter of John Polley and Nellie Maines Polley. She was a former Department Store Sales Clerk and a Housewife. Lula was a member of First Baptist Church in Carrollton.
Survivors include three son's and their wives; James Courtney, JR., and his wife Jean of Carrollton, KY., C.W. Courtney, SR., and his wife Dotty of Carrollton, KY., and Donnie Cain and his wife Kelley of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; John Peak Cain, four sisters;Blanche Hunter, Dorothy Mefford, Mattie Henry and Christine Mefford, four brothers; Bill Polley, Sam Polley, Raymond Polley and Gerald Polley. Lula was also preceded in death by two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The Rev. Chris White will officiate the Funeral Service on Friday.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church Youth Fund in care of the funeral home.
