Lura Lewis

Lura B. Lewis, 91, died on Sunday afternoon, June 13, 2010 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.
She was born on June 18, 1910 in Carroll County, KY., the daughter of John and Emma King Wheeler. Lura was a homemaker and had previously worked at the Carrollton Nursing Home for 11 years. She was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters; Emma Irene Lewis, Bonnie Jean (Gene) Vannarsdall and Jewell (Husband J.W. "Pickle") all of Carrollton, KY., five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Alvin Thomas "Pete" Lewis, sisters; Anna Breeden, Lizzie Wheeler, Ruby Davis, Sally Ellis and Daisy Marksberry, three half brothers; Harvey, Ralph and Willy Wheeler, a grandson; Kevin Vannarsdall.
Funeral Services were at 2:00 P.M. , Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Ghent Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Reynolds officiating the service.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

5:00 - 8:00 P.M. - Tuesday - June 15, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home and from Noon - 2:00 P.M. - Wednesday at the Ghent Baptist Church.

2:00 P.M. - Wednesday - June 16, 2010 at the Ghent Baptist Church.
