Margaret Skirvin

Margaret Ellen Skirvin, 80, of Carrollton, Ky, died on Monday,September 15, 2014at her residence in Carrollton, Ky.

She was born on January 5, 1934 in Switzerland County, IN, the daughter of the late Deward B. Skirvin and Mary Ellen McKinney Skirvin. She was retired from the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church in Carrollton.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne Skirvin of Carrollton, KY, two daughters, Mary Liesa (Lloyd) Wilson of Milton, KY, and Crystal Mary Murphy of Carrollton, KY, a son, Michael Claude (Debbie) Murphy Middletown, OH, three sisters, Lida Bea Skirvin Charles of Mount Sterling, KY, Avanell (Paul) Randall of Hanover, IN, and Peggy (John) Bentley of Portsmouth, OH, one brother, Franklin Delano (Donna) Skirvin of Madison, IN, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Russell Keith Murphy, a sister, Junita Skirvin, brothers, John Walter Skirvin, Orville Jesse Skirvin, Deward Belmont Skirvin, Jr., and Leslie Thomas Skirvin, a grandson, Calvin Thomas Murphy.

Funeral Services were on at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Calvary Apostolic Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Miles Miller officiating the service. Visitation was on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Calvary Apostolic Church. Burial was in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Calvary Apostolic Church in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Calvary Apostolic Church.
