Marguerite Mefford

Marguerite Jasper Mefford, 91, of Louisville, KY., formerly of Carrollton, KY., died at her daughter's residence in Nicholasville, KY., on March 30, 2011.

She was born on November 13, 1919 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY., the daughter of the late Herman and Marie (Framme) Jasper. Mrs. Mefford was a retired Bookkeeper for the First National Bank of Carrollton. Her church memberships include the Holly Trinity Catholic Church in Louisville, KY., and the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, KY.

In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Caritas and the Nazareth Home, both in Louisville, KY.

She will be missed by her daughter, Margaret "Peggy" (Tony) Gaughan of Nicholasville, KY., and her son, George William "Butch" (June) Mefford of Louisville, KY. Mrs. Mefford is survived by two brothers, Clifford Jasper of Carrollton, KY., and Rev. Louis Jasper of Covington, KY., along with three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Loretta McConville and a brother, Robert Jasper and one grandchild.

Memorial Gifts may be given to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
