Martha Garrett

Martha Mae Summitt Garrett, 78, of Warsaw, KY, died on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Signature Healthcare Center in Bedford, KY.

She was born on August 26, 1936 in Oldham County, KY, the daughter of the late Ruffus Jesse Summitt and Maggie Mae (Raisor) Summitt. She was a housewife and a member of the Worthville United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by five daughters, Maggie Crawford of Glencoe, KY, Martha Humphrey of Milton, KY, Ramona Ritch, Laquilla Wilson and Priscilla Day, all of Warsaw, KY, five sons, Otis Garrett of Campbellsburg, KY, Lawrence Garrett of Walton, KY, John Garrett of Sparta, KY, William E. "Bill" Garrett of Rising Sun, IN, and Michael Garrett of Verona, KY, twenty seven grandchildren, forty six great grandchildren and two great - great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Thomas Garrett on September 14, 1995 and a brother, Buford Summitt.

Funeral Services were on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home and from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Warsaw Cemetery in Warsaw, KY.

Visitation wias on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home and from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Funeral Home.
