Marvin R. "Pete" Toole ,78 of Carrollton, KY.,died on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, KY.
He was born on July 15, 1928 in Owenton, Owen County, KY.,the son of the late Clyde Toole & Clarice (Hunter) Toole. He was Self-Employed in the Construction Business in Carrollton, KY., for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton. He was also a Member of the Southern Baptist Convention's Team of Disaster Relief Volunteers. He has made over thirteen overseas trips around the world. He is a charter member since 1985 of the Kentucky Baptist Church Convention disaster relief organization. Throughout his travels he has visited places such as Tanzania, Taiwan, Argentina, Russia and other hot spots around the world. "Pete" said that the trips cost him out of his pocket between $2,000 and $2,500 per trip. People always asked him how he can afford the trips out of his own pocket and his response was "Spiritually, how can I not afford to."
He is survived by a Daughter; Deborah K. Rose of Carrollton, KY. a Son; Gary R. Toole of Carrollton, KY.four Grandchildren, two Great Grandchildren two Step Grandchildren and five Step Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife; Dorothy Elaine Toole (8-31-2003), Sisters; Lucille Cobb & June Bourne, Brothers; Harold & Buford Toole.
The Rev. Chris White will officiate the funeral service on Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
Memorial Gifts were given to the Lottie Moon Fund in care of the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were James Robert Toole, Christopher Lane Toole, Wayne "Bimp" McAlister, Jay Montgomery, James Bradley and Bruce Cobb.
Honorary Pallbearers were J.C. Banks, Luke Frost, Duper Craig, Ray Watkins, Bob Wilson, Ray Miller and Raymond Hendrick.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

5:00 - 8:00 P.M. - Tuesday - March 13, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and after 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the church.

2:00 P.M. - Wednesday - March 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
