Mary Abbott

Mary Louise Thomas Abbott, 69, of Carrollton, KY, died on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on March 23, 1945 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, the daughter of the late Joseph Bernard Thomas and Frances Gertrude (Mudd) Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. John Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila ( Bill) Reynolds of Carrollton, KY, Sandy Abbott of Carrollton, KY, Kathy (Julian) Mitchell of Carrollton, KY, Karen (Paul) Wyman of Carrollton, KY, a son, Steve (Gwen) Abbott of Carrollton, KY, ten grandchildren, Justin Mitchell, Rachel Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell, Scott Abbott, Nicholas Abbott, Natalie Abbott, Aaron Wyman, Blake Reynolds, Kaden Reynolds and Neil Abbott, , two sisters, Sandra Bolton of Louisville, KY, and Bernetta Abbott of Mt. Washington, KY, and two brothers, Artie Thomas and Richard Thomas, both of Louisville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Earl Abbott in February 27, 2013, a grandson, Parker Aaron Wyman, three sisters, Janice M. Shealy, Frances Haynes & Patricia Hansel and three brothers, Timothy W. Thomas, Joseph Thomas, Jr. and Joseph Anthony Thomas.

Mass of Christian Burial was on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. Allan Frederick officiating the service. Visitation was on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Rosary was on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial was in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Carrollton.

Visitation

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Funeral

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. Allan Frederick officiating the service.

Interment

Burial will be in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Carrollton.
