Mary New

Mary Alice Crawford New, 93, of Sanders, Carroll County, KY, died on Friday, March 27, 2020 in Sanders, KY, surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 31, 1926 in Wheatley, Owen County, KY, the daughter of the late George Newton Crawford and Sylvia Willhoite Crawford.  She had farmed most all her life with her late husband, Roy and she enjoyed cooking for everyone.  She was a member of the Jordan Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons; Robert Lee (Pat) New of Carrollton, KY, and Richard Dale (Susan) New of Sanders, KY,  a niece; Carolyn Manley, four nephews; Eddie Humble, Doug, Grover and Dennis Crawford, six grandchildren; Scott New, David New, Josh New, Jake New, LeAnn Hill and Shannon Skirvin, twelve great grandchildren and one great – great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Roy Lee New on May 5, 1991, a son; Tommy New on September 29, 1995, a sister; Evalina Crawford Humble and a brother; Claude Newton Crawford.

Private funeral services will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Graham Reynolds officiating the service, due to the CoVid19 restrictions imposed by Governor Andy Beshear and the CDC.  A memorial service for Mary Alice will be scheduled for a later date when restrictions are lifted.  The service will be broadcast on Facebook LIVE at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Pallbearers will be Scott, David, Josh, Jake, Robert Lee and Dale New.
