Maude Pearl (Black) Westrick, 92, of Carrollton, KY, died on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Baptist Health in La Grange, KY.
She was born on May 25, 1926 in Bethlehem, Henry County, KY, the daughter of the late Melvin Black and Bertha (Black) Black. She was a homemaker and had been co-owner of the former Bud’s Market in Carrollton with her late husband Edward Joseph “Bud” Westrick . She had also worked for the Town Shoppe in Carrollton as a sales associate of woman’s clothing.
She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton. She enjoyed cooking, baking, candy making, gardening and flowers, especially Petunias and Geraniums. She was a people person and loved socializing with people in public.
She will be missed by her three daughters, Janice Hood of Louisville, KY, Teresa (James) Salande of Meraux, LA, and Diane (Jim) Morgan of La Grange, KY, two sons, J. Dennis (Libby) Westrick of Oviedo, FL, and David J. (Lisa) Westrick of Queen Creek, AZ, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Joseph “Bud” Westrick on August 5, 1988, two sisters, Edith Mitchell and Elnora Hawkins, six brothers, Stanley, Herbert, Delbert, James, Clifford and Buster Black.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
