Mervin Kindoll| Sr.

Mervin Kindoll, Sr., 87, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at his residence.

He was born July 7, 1921 in Carroll County, KY., the son of the late John B. and Delma Meadows Kindoll. Mervin was retired from M & T Chemicals and formerly owned Merv's Lawn Care in Carrollton. He was former mayor of Prestonville and a member of Cove Hill Baptist Church and Gideon's International.

He is survived by his wife Josie Duncan Kindoll of Carrollton, KY., two step daughters; Vickie Warren and Phyllis (Jim) Lucas of Carrollton, KY., two step-sons; Mike Carter of Tennessee and Barry (Christy) Carter of Owenton, KY., a daughter in-law; Pauline C. Kindoll of Carrollton, KY., a special grand daughter; Crystal Kindoll Stark of Bedford, KY., eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife; Thelma Louise Kindoll, a son; Mervin Kindoll, Jr., three brothers; Tommy & Forest C. Kindoll, Ernie Johnson.

The Rev. Brian Hampshire and Rev. Scott Miller officiated the funeral service on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Gideon's International.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
