Michael Dale Polley

Michael Dale Polley, affectionately known as Mike, was born on January 14, 1957, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky. He was the beloved son of the late Raymond J. Polley and Dolly Jean Covington Polley of Covington, KY.  He passed away on Saturday evening, August 26, 2023, at his home in Ghent, Carroll County, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike's career spanned several decades. He dedicated many years to the Ohio Valley Asphalt Company and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at the Dow Corning Chemical Factory in Carrollton. Mike's commitment and work ethic were exemplary; he approached every task with a fearless determination to succeed.

One aspect that defined Mike was his adventurous spirit. He wasn't afraid to step out of his comfort zone and give anything a try. This courage allowed him to experience life fully and embrace new opportunities with open arms.

Family meant everything to Mike, and he cherished each moment spent with them dearly. He leaves behind a loving wife, Debbie Marie Dapron Polley of Ghent, KY. Together they created a beautiful life filled with love and shared memories. Their bond was unbreakable and served as an inspiration to all who knew them.

In addition to his devoted wife, Mike is survived by his sons Michael Scott (Linda) Polley of Carrollton, KY; Jason Dale (Kiersten) Polley of Louisville, KY; and Raymond Thomas "Tommy" (Kassie) Polley of Carrollton, KY. His children were the pride and joy of his life; their accomplishments brought immeasurable happiness to him.

Mike's legacy lives on through his two grandchildren as well. Addison Claire Polley of Carrollton, KY; and Alexxis Grace Polley of La Grange, KY will forever carry the memory of their loving grandfather in their hearts.

His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him best. His loss is deeply felt by his mother, Dolly Jean Covington Polley; brothers Edgar (Tammie) Polley of Florence, KY; and Hugh Polley of Covington, KY.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Dennis Polley.

A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Mike's life will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home located at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008. Family and Friends are invited to attend to celebrate Mike's life.
