Mildred Garrett
January 6, 1920 — July 12, 2006
Mildred E. Garrett, 86, of Carrollton, KY., went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening at Nexus Specialty Hospital near Houston, TX., after complications from Pneumonia.
She was born in McHenry, IL., the daughter of the late Mike and Mary Freund. Mildred moved to Carrollton, KY., with her late husband Albert L. Garrett in 1960, she was a retired Beautician and a Housewife. Mildred was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.
Survivors include a daughter; Mary Kay Coots of Carrollton, KY., two son's; Robert M. Garrett of Houston, TX., and Richard L. Garrett of Louisville, KY., nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Albert L. Garrett in May of 2000, a infant son; Terry Leonard Garrett, a grand daughter; Courtney Garrett, three brothers and three sisters.
The Rev. Gerald Reinersman will conduct the Mass on Monday at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
