Nancy Brent

Nancy Elizabeth Brent, 93, of Martinez, GA, died on October 25, 2018 in Evans, GA, surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 22, 1925 in Prestonville, Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Emmett Lee McMannis and Maude Perkins McMannis.  She had retired from the Carroll County Memorial Hospital as a Nursing Assistant Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Evans, GA, and the the Cove Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Brent Lentz of Martinez, GA, Ilene Brent of Lansdale, PA, and Carol Beth Brent Wittschen of Washington, GA, a brother, Jimmy McMannis of Carrollton, KY, six grandchildren, Rachel Lentz Osborne, Carrie Lentz Turner, Miriam Lentz Scogin, Grady Brent Wise, Melea Brent Wise and Adrienne Wittschen Howard, eleven  great grandchildren, Caleb Osborne, Hannah Osborne, Titus Miller, Alexis Miller, Emma Taylor Scogin, Macy Scogin, Jackson Scogin, Brody Scogin, Reese Wise, Landon Howard and Grayson Howard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years,  Eugene C. Brent, two sisters, Anna Katherine Layton and Irene Joslin, and a brother, Harlan McMannis.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
