Nancy Hughes

Nancy J. Hoskins Hughes, 95, of Carrollton, KY., died on Monday morning, March 25, 2013 at the Signature Health Care in Bedford, KY.
She was born on February 20, 1918 in Lockport, Henry County, KY., the daughter of the late Harbin and Lida Maude Reese Hoskins. She was a retired manager for Riley's Men's Wear in Carrollton and also had worked in the fabric and shoe department at Parkview Market in Carrollton. She was a member of the Democratic Women's Club. She was a faithful member of the Carrollton Christian Church, where she joined the church on Easter Sunday in 1942.
She is survived by a daughter, Hollace "Holly" Yowler and her husband , Bob of Bedford, KY., a son, Michael Edward Hughes and his wife, Phyllis of Fort Wayne, IN., two brothers, Reuben Hoskins of Indianapolis, IN., and Robert Hoskins of Bedford, KY., four grandchildren, Michele Heeter of Cleveland, OH., Guy Hughes of Lexington, KY., Rebecca Butler of Chicago, IL., and Jeremy Yowler of Bedford, KY., five great grandchildren, Nicholas Heeter of Columbus, OH., Allie Heeter of Cleveland, OH., Delaney Hughes of Lexington, KY., Brandon and Parker Yowler of Bedford, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur E. "Eke" Hughes in 1994, three sisters, Catherine Burgess, Dorothy Romans, and Mary Stalling, three brothers, Elisha, Harbin and James Hoskins.
Funeral Services were on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Carrollton Christian Church with the Rev. Melvin LeCompte and Rev. Rebecca Butler officiating the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Carrollton Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
Visitation
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Carrollton Christian Church. Visitation will also be from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Carrollton Christian Church.
Funeral
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Carrollton Christian Church with the Rev. Melvin LeCompte and Rev. Rebecca Butler officiating the service.
Interment
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
