Nathanial Wayne "Nate" Hammonds, 16, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 in Worthville, Owen Co., KY.
He was born on April 7, 1992 in Madison, Jefferson County, IN., the son of Kenneth Johnson and Kimberly Sue (Wilson) Kopp. He was a sophomore at the Carroll County High School. "Nate" as many knew him was a Defensive End and Linebacker for the Carroll County Panther Football Team.
Survivors include his mother and step - father; Kimberly and Pat Kopp of Carrollton, KY., his father Kenneth Johnson, a brother; Christopher Ailes of Carrollton, KY., his maternal grandmother; Marcella Wilson of Worthville, KY., several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Joseph Wilson, Sr.
Funeral Services were conducted on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Family Worship Center with the Rev. Pat Butcher officiating the service. Burial will be in the Worthville Cemetery.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Gifts were given to the family.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
