Nelda Vannarsdall, 62, of Bedford, Carroll County, KY., died Monday morning, June 20, 2011 at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY.
Wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Nelda Jane Lewis Vannarsdall passed peacefully with her husband of 44 years Jimmy by her side. She was and will always be his best friend. She was a wonderful mother to her three children, daughters Starla Wang and Barbara Day, and son David Vannarsdall. She has six grandchildren that she has always been proud of, Amy, Sarah and Leah Wang, Brittany and Ethan Vannarsdall and Johnny Marklin. She will be missed by them all. She has three sisters that always stood with her, Beulah Fryman, Nancy Bailey, and Phyllis Lewis. She was an accomplished artist and passed that love and knowledge down to Amy and Sarah. She has her beloved Boxer Brandy who will miss her more then we know. She will be joining her parents, Ruben and Lucy Lewis and her brother Joe Lewis in Gods wonderful kingdom. A celebration of her life was at the Tandy -Eckler Riley in Carrolton Ky Friday June 24th. Funeral Services were Saturday at 2pm at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ferrill Davis officiating.. In lieu of flowers memorial ontributions were given to Carroll County Animal Support, INC. 521 Windy Ridge Bedford Ky 40006.
