Nellie Mae Troxell Burford, 95, of Worthville, KY, died on Tuesday evening, February 25, 2014 at the Green Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, KY.
She was born on May 16, 1918 in Midway, Woodford County, KY, the daughter of the late Garrott and Elvira Woolams Troxell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Monterey Baptist Church.
In her spare time she loved to fish, loved flowers, she loved coloring books and loved dogs. When she was able she loved to go to church and loved to play bingo. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.
She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Sandlin of Worthville, KY, and Adele Burford of Worthville, KY, a son, Jerry Burford of Worthville, KY, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chester Burford, two sisters, Christine Upvack and Lizzy Vickers, four brothers, John, Thomas, James and Clay Troxell.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery in Owenton, KY.
