Noble Franklin “Frank” Tilley, 82, of Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, died on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, 2021 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
“Frank” as most people knew him, was born on March 19, 1939 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of late Noble Tilley and Pauline Kopp Tilley-Blankenship. Shortly after graduating from Carrollton High School, he went on to serve his Country in the United States Air Force, going into active duty on May 31st of 1960 until he was honorably discharged on February 3, of 1964, specializing in Ground Command Equipment Repair. After his Military Service, He had worked for over 38 years in the construction industry as a Crane Operator.
Some of his greatest joys were wood working and making wooden toys for children, which always brought a big smile to him when he presented them to the children. He held a membership in the American Legion.
Survivors include four sisters, Doris Fox and Carolyn Welch, both of Jupiter, FL, Mary Frances Mefford of Carrollton, KY, and Phyllis Perry of Hendersonville, NC, along with several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father on September 17, 1975 and his mother on November 23, 2005, his daughter, Natalie Faye Tilley on November 3, 2008, a brother, Joseph D. “Joe” Tilley on August 4, 2003, and a sister, Ruth Tilley Suter on November 18, 2018.
Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
