Norma Dowell

Norma D. Dowell, 86, of Madison, TN., formerly of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday, November 23, 2010 at the Madison Health & Rehab. Center in Madison, TN.

She was born in Madison, IN., on June 29, 1924 the daughter of the late Jessie and Leona Pulliam Backus. Mrs. Dowell had previously worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Vevay, IN., and also Reliance Electric Company in Madison, IN. Mrs. Dowell was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her son, Danny Thompson of Franklin, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Wilbur J. Thompson and also her second husband, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral Services were at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton with the Rev. Cliff Sparks officiating the service.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
