Norma Miles

Norma J. Miles, a beloved member of the Carrollton community, passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on August 21, 1940, in Covington, Kentucky, Norma was the cherished daughter of the late Dorothy Davis and was raised by the late Frank and Mary Alexander. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, David M. Miles, and a brother, Eullis J. Yancey.

Norma's legacy is woven into the fabric of her community through her extensive and varied career. Over the years, she worked in the furniture factories around Carrollton and served her community as a bus driver for the Carroll County School District. Her commitment to public service extended further as she took on roles as a Deputy Jailor and Constable for Carroll County. Additionally, her work spanned various establishments, including Belterra Casino and Resort, the Kentucky Speedway, and as the owner of White Top Taxi in Carrollton. Norma also dedicated time to the educational environment as a custodian at Carroll County High School.

She was a member of the Sanders Baptist Church, 

Norma is survived by her loving family, including daughters Dorothy A. Miles (Bubby Hearn) of Carrollton, KY, Kimberly (Randy) Williamson of Warsaw, KY, and Sharla (Brian) Thompson of Madison, IN. She is also survived by her son, Michael R. Miles of Columbus, OH, and a sister, Linda Bickers of Erlanger, KY. Norma's family continues to honor her memory with five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A visitation in celebration of Norma's life will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, KY, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Entombment will take place in the Warsaw Cemetery in Warsaw, KY.

Norma J. Miles leaves behind a rich legacy filled with love, service, and dedication to her community and family that will be cherished for generations. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
