Patsy C. McManis Stewart

Patsy C. McManis Stewart, a devoted wife, mother, and mamaw, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughter's home on April 5, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on June 25, 1945, in Turners Station, Henry County, Kentucky, Patsy embodied grace and warmth throughout her life.

For three decades, from 1978 to 2008, she served as a Classroom Aid at Cartmell Elementary and Nursing Assistant at Carroll County Middle School, where she was cherished by students and staff alike for her dedication and compassionate nature. Patsy was not only committed to her career but also to her family and community, proudly holding the position of Past Chairman of the Relay For Life Survivors Program and being an active member of the Carrollton Younger Women's Club.

Patsy's vibrant personality shone through in her many hobbies and interests. She had a particular fondness for outings to the Derby Dinner Playhouse, relishing moments shared over cheesecake with bourbon sauce. Her love of shopping and gardening brought her joy, as did her frequent trips to the beach, where she enjoyed indulging in peach ice cream. Concerts, Disney On Ice shows, and simple drives provided her with happiness, reflecting her love for life and memorable experiences with loved ones. During the holiday season, she took great delight in making candy to share with friends, a testament to her generous spirit. Everyone absolutely loved her green beans.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Melvin D. Stewart of Carrollton, KY, her daughter Beth Ann (Blandon) Toombs of Carrollton, KY, and her dear sister, Brenda McManis Brown of Turners Station, KY. Her cherished friendships included Carolyn Jones of Carrollton, KY. Patsy was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Lauren Toombs of Carrollton, KY; Ashlea Lee (Kenny) Worner of Prospect, KY; and Jasmine A. Smith of Bedford, KY.

She is preceded in death by her father Roy Lee McManis, her mother Ruby Leslie Perry McManis, her daughter Carla Jo Boyer, and her son Gregory Lee Boyer.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to their caregivers and Bluegrass Care Navigators for the exceptional care and compassion extended to Patsy during her life.

Visitation services will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home located at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008 on April 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on April 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on April 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Patsy C. McManis Stewart leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever remain with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
