Paula Smith

Paula Faye Smith, 43, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday morning, December 3, 2009 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.She was born on July 26, 1966 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY., the daughter of the late Richard Martin Sanders, Sr. and Lula Mae Dempsey of Cynthiana, KY. She was raised by James and Ann Dempsey. Paula formerly worked at the Doorman Comany in Warsaw, KY. as a Packer, she was also a former housekeeper at the Carrollton Inn and a caregiver to the sick. Her church home was at the Pentecostals of Carrollton Church.Paula will be missed by her mother, six sisters; Sharon Neuner of Westport, KY., Frieda Arvin of Connersville, IN., Phyllis Sculley of Port Royal, KY., Barbara Adams of Bedford, KY., Joyce Singer of Shelbyville, KY., and Jeanie Rider of Worthville, KY., a brother; Mark Sanders of Carrollton, KY.She was preceded in death by her father and a brother; Richard Sanders, Jr.Funeral Services were at Noon, Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Tiller officiating the service. Burial was in the Sculley Family Cemetery in Port Royal, KY.In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Gifts were given to the family in care of the funeral home.The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
