Quinton Rae Hoard, 24, of Shelbyville, KY, died on Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Louisville, KY.
He was born on December 14, 1996 in La Grange, Oldham County, KY, the son of Charles E. Rice and Cristi C. Hoard Rice. He was a 2016 graduate of Meade County High School. He was currently working for Sonoco Protective Solutions in Shelbyville in the Packaging Department. He was raised and baptized in the Baptist Church and was most recently attending a Pentecostal Church.
Quinton was known as a “Country Boy” in life, he loved anything outdoors and loved to wrestle and play with almost any type of farm animal. He always loved to go fishing with Zak and Travis, you never knew what crazy things would happen with the three of them together.
Being surrounded with family was always very important to Quinton and he thought the world of his nephew, Caleb, he would do anything for his little buddy.
Quinton loved a good political debate, now he might not always have the correct facts to back his thoughts up, but he could always put up a good argument, just because he loved to challenge people. As far as a jokester he could be known to pull a good prank or tell a tale or two.
Some of his favorite things to do were to cut and split wood with his dad and play video games. He was even making plans to go Sky Diving.
He will be missed by his Parents; Charles E. and Cristi C. Hoard Rice of Pendleton, KY, his maternal grandfather; Wayne Hoard of Pendleton, KY, two brothers; Michael Charles Rice and his fiancé’ Brandy Bowman of Shelbyville, KY, and Brendon Rice and his girlfriend; Ashley Marie of Shelbyville, KY, , two sisters; Kaitlyn Danielle Rice of Shelbyville, KY, and Makayla Nichole Rice of Pendleton, KY, a half brother; Dakota and two half sisters; Cheyenne and Kayla, along with his nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles and great aunts and great uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Nancy Hoard on June 26, 2020, his paternal grandparents; Charles Edward Rice and George and Mary Sue Pyles, and a nephew.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and the new reopening requirements we will be limiting our building occupancy to 50% of normal capacity, so please be prepared for a possible line as we will be monitoring the occupancy. We will also be strictly adhering to the 6 feet social distancing requirements. We also request that attendees please wear a face covering if possible.
