Raymond E. "Buster" Bates, Jr., 73, of Worthville, Carroll County, KY, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his residence in Worthville, KY.
He was born in Carroll County, KY, on August 29, 1941, the son of the Raymond E. Bates, Sr. and Dorothy Tingle. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Kentucky Cattleman's Association. He was also a member of the Port Royal Baptist Church and the Kentucky Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Berry Bates of Worthville, KY, a daughter, Yogi Bates of Turners Station, KY, a brother, Noble Bates of Carrollton, KY, three sisters, Joan Taylor of Madison, IN, Carolyn Brown of Nicholasville, KY and Judy Taylor of Carrollton, KY, a grand daughter in-law, Rebecca Gibson of Carrollton, KY, his great granddaughter, Gracie A. Conrad of Carrollton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Dustin Conrad on December 1, 2014.
Funeral Services were on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery in Port Royal, KY.
