Raymond Andrew Hicks, 74, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his residence in Carrollton, KY.
He was born on December 5, 1937 in Rising Sun, Ohio County, IN., the son of the late James J. and Anna Marie O'Conner. He was a wooden boat builder and was self employed in the construction industry. He was a member of the Church of Life.
He is survived by his two daughters, Anna Kurtz of Smithfield, KY., and Sarah Hammock of Carrollton, KY., a sister, Sharon Riley of Carrollton, KY., two brothers, Richard Hicks of Carrollton, KY., and Bennie Hicks of Dry Ridge, KY., four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ellen D. Hicks, four sisters, Rita Hicks, Bonnie Carter, Barbara Mattingly and Elizabeth Martin, three brothers, Jimmy, Jack and George Hicks also preceded him in death.
Cremation has been chosen by the family. Private services will be conducted by the family at a later date.
Arrangements by the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
