Rebecca Ann Rodgers Whipple, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Carrollton, Kentucky. Born on February 16, 1945, in Medina, Ohio, Rebecca dedicated many years of her life to nurturing and guiding young minds as a Teacher's Aide at Van Horn Elementary School in California, where she retired after a fulfilling career.
Rebecca's love for education was only matched by her passion for her family. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Quinn Rohrbach, Madison, and Trent Whipple, creating treasured memories that will forever be cherished. Her heart was divided between her loving family and her life on the farm, where she found joy and peace. Rebecca was also fond of tractors and took pride in her involvement with the Massey Collectors Association, reflecting her appreciation for farm life.
She is survived by her second love, Myron Smith of Campbellsburg, KY, her daughter Polly (Toby) Rohrbach of Coto De Caza, CA, her son Paul (Sheree) Whipple of Discovery Bay, CA, and her former daughter-in-law, Michelle Hoarce of Bakersfield, CA.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Rodgers and Marian Copley Rodgers, her husband, Roy Howard Whipple, and her brothers John, David, and Chuck Rodgers. Her legacy of love, kindness, and commitment to her family and community will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
At her request, no formal services will be held.
