Rev. Nelson Tilman

Rev. Nelson J. “Nick” Tilman, 82, of Carrollton, KY, passed this life peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 18, 1940, in Columbus, Franklin County, OH, the son the late Ned B. Tilman and Frances Moore Tilman.  “Nick” as many people knew him, was a retired Minister.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, he had served as a Helping Hands Counselor and assisted with the Haven of Rest Homeless Shelter for Men.  “Nick” had served his Country honorably in the United States Navy as a Navy Diver.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Tilman of Carrollton, KY, a son, Karl Ned Tilman of Rootstown, Ohio, two daughters, Michelle Daves of Ravenna, Ohio, and Tiffany Tilman of Ghent, KY, a brother, Richard Tilman of St. Augustine, FL, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Madeline Schmidt.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
