Rev. Warren Lowry

Rev. Warren G. Lowry, 91, of Worthville, Kentucky, passed away on October 3, 2012 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on November 11, 1920 in Perryville, Kentucky, the son of the late Hansford Lowry and Lou Ella Lambert Lowry. He was a retired minister from the Worthville United Pentecostal Church and 1st Apostolic Church in Corbin, KY and he also retired from the Upholstery business that he owned.

He served in the US Army during World War II.

He will be missed by his two step sons, Raymond Beatty, Sr. of Worthville, KY, and Lawrence T. Beatty II of Pleasureville, KY, two step daughters, Darlene Beatty Stewart of Turners Station, KY and Naomi Beatty Foley of Lashmeet, WV, one brother, Rev. Phillip Lowry of Edmonton, KY, and one sister, Maxine Murphree of Azle, TX. Seven Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Emma B. Hacker Lowry and by his second wife Wanda Lee Shipley Lowry, one brother, James Lowry and four sisters, Minnie, Sarah, Lillie and Hazel Lowry.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Worthville United Pentecostal Church in Worthville, Ky. Funeral Services were also at 2:00 p.m. at the 1st Apostolic Church in Corbin, Ky. Burial was in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Corbin, Ky.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

Visitation

Visitation-Friday-October 5, 2012 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Worthville United Pentecostal Church in Worthville, KY. Second visitation on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the 1st Apostolic Church in Corbin, KY.

Funeral

Funeral will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Worthville United Pentecostal Church in Worthville, KY. Second service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the 1st Apostolic Church in Corbin, KY.

Cumberland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
