Rev. William Ellison

Rev. William Cecil Ellison, 101, born in Yosemite, Casey County, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY.

He was born on September 2, 1910 in Yosemite, Kentucky, the son of the late Joshua Taylor Ellison and Nicey Susan Patterson Ellison. He was a member and pastor of the 1st Apostolic Church in Carrollton, KY for 61 years.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth D. Ellison, Obetz, OH and J. Devon Ellison, Carrollton, KY. two daughters, Wanda McDowell, Carrollton, KY and Willa McDaniel, Louisville, KY. one half sister, Lucille Wilson, Yosemite, KY. nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife, Mabel Mae Kress Ellison, one brother, Pat Ellison, and two sisters, Lillie Phelps and Maggie Brown.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the 1st Apostolic Church in Carrollton, KY., with the Rev. Marvin Hicks and Rev. Samuel Grathler officiating the service. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
