Rhoda Eula Ellison Dietz, 90, of Carrollton, Kentucky, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great and great-great-grandmother, passed away on February 23, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on December 28, 1933, in Catherine, Russell County, Kentucky to her parents Tromo Ellison and Lucy Helen Gosser Ellison.
Rhoda led a fulfilling life and touched the hearts of many. She dedicated her career to serving others and retired from the Carroll County Memorial Hospital Housekeeping Department. Rhoda's work ethic and kindness made a difference in the lives of those around her.
In her free time, Rhoda found joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a passion for music and enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and watching Western films. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and playing cards with loved ones.
Rhoda is preceded in death by her parents Tromo and Lucy Helen Ellison, daughters Deborah Lynn Brown and Rebecca Ellen Edmondson, sisters Rose L. Lagrecca, Mollie Sebree, and Ann Vargas, as well as brothers Harold Talmage Ellison and Hollis Ellison.
She is survived by her daughter Maggie Dietz of Carrollton, KY; sons William C. Dietz of Florence, KY; Timothy W. Dietz of Sanders, KY; David A. Dietz of Owenton, KY; 15 grandchildren; over 25 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A Graveside Service to honor Rhoda's life will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Independence Cemetery in Independence, Kentucky.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
