Robert Lee Dixon

Robert Lee Dixon, born on December 27, 1955, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky, passed away on February 26, 2025, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, Kentucky. He lived a life rich with accomplishments and dedication to his community.

Robert enjoyed a fulfilling career spanning over two decades at Kentucky Ladder in Carrollton. Beyond his professional undertakings, Robert was deeply engaged in his community, proudly serving as a commissioner for the town of Prestonville. His dedication to public service and community involvement will long be remembered by those who knew him.

A multifaceted individual, Robert had a profound love for the outdoors, particularly fishing, and an appreciation for music which was evident in his talent for playing the guitar. He also had a penchant for tinkering on old cars, reflecting his curious nature and hands-on approach to life.

Robert is survived by his beloved daughters, Tina Dixon of Louisville, KY, and Bobbie (Roger) Combs of Campbellsville, KY. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Brittany Martin, Kaleb Martin, Mariah Martin, Landon, and Logan Combs, whom he adored and who brought him immense joy. His loving sisters, Martha Frazier of Worthville, KY, and Mary Dixon of New Castle, KY, along with a host of friends and community members, will also carry forward his memory.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Fannie (Downy) Dixon, his wife, Thelma Louise Barnes Dixon, and his brothers, David Dixon, John Dixon, Shorty Dixon, and William "Bill" Dixon. He also mourns the loss of his siblings: Perry and Wheeler "Bugs" Woods, and three sisters, Julia McCormick, Nell Mahoney, and Mattie Mertz.

Visitation will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Kentucky, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.
