Rodney Williams

Rodney Kevin Williams, 36, of Walton, KY., formerly of Carrollton, KY., died on Saturday evening, February 16, 2008 at the St. Luke Hospital West in Florence, KY.

He was born in Carrollton, KY., on March 18, 1971 the son of the late William Ray Williams and Carolina (Smith) Williams of Carrollton, KY. "Kevin" as most people knew him was a graduate of the Carroll County High School having played Football and Baseball. He was a former Football Coach at the Carroll County Middle School. Kevin was currently a student at the the Cincinnati State College in Cincinnati, OH. He was a former Police Officer for the City of Carrollton, KY., and most recently having worked at the Boone County, KY., Police and Sheriff's Department, he was also a former K-9 Officer.

Kevin served his Country in the United States Navy. His memberships include the Hopeful Lutheran Church in Florence, KY., and the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton.

Survivors include his wife; Kimberly (Barry) Williams of Walton, KY., two daughters; Kaitlyn Raye Williams and Kennedi Caroline Williams, both of Walton, KY., his mother; Carolina (Smith) Williams of Carrollton, KY., his father and mother in-law; Doug and Jane Barry of Carrollton, KY., sisters; Sheila O'Neal of Carrollton, KY., and Cindy Deaton of Carrollton, KY., a brother; Darrell Williams of Carrollton, KY., He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and one great niece. He was preceded in death by his father; William Ray Williams.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Blair Fields officiating the service.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorial GIfts may be given to the Kaitlyn and Kennedi Williams Educational Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
